Tims Proposal..

Cling film filter.
The new techniques I would like to try are the 'cling film' effect but instead of just using normal cling film to make the images blurred I would like to also include a little editing on photoshop. I would like to take a picture using the 'cling film' effect and put a color filter on the image using photoshop. I would like to do this because I think it will be more interesting and creative than just the original cling film idea. Putting this effect on the image will make the image different to the rest of my images using the cling film effect and will make my images look more colorful and interesting. I am going to do this image by taking a regular image with cling film over the lens and then put the image into photoshop. Once the image is in photoshop I will make a new layer, pick the color I want to cover the image and use the 'paint bucket tool' to completely cover the image with the 'blue' filter. I then will have to use the 'erase tool' to bring the image back into the picture as the 'paint bucket tool' will completely cover the image so the 'erase tool' will make the image clear again. The image I created in photoshop is attached to the top of this post. Another technique I would like to try is to put a gaussian blur on a moving image. I would like to take a picture of someone jumping and include a gaussian blur in the background to create like a motion look. To do this I will put a gaussian blur on the image and erase the blur out on the part of the image I want to stand out. Below is the image I created.

Dervyn.. Studio work.. Final..

Evaluation...
When I took my first set of studio shots I took them without having the original image with me so I had to base the image on what I remembered of the original. When I uploaded my images onto my blog I realised that the images didn’t look like the original as much as I thought they did. I realised that the eye level was not the same on my images as the person was looking far away to the left side of the image and on the original the model was just looking slightly over the photographers shoulder. I also realised that the hair was different as on the original image the hair was flowing to the left side of the image, which showed they were obviously laid on the floor where as on my images the hair was normal as the person in the image was stood up. Another thing I realised was that the person in my image needed red lipstick on and yellow or orange glitter on the cheek and eye. When I re-shoot my images next week I will include these aspects into my image to make them replicate the original image completely.

Student life.. Assignment.. Task 6

As part of my assignment I had to base some images on the theme of 'student life'. As our college is near a university it was pretty simple. I basically just took pictures of food, drink and things that most students use and enjoy. I used natural light on these images just to make them look more original.

Soft focus images.. for assignment.. Task 5

These are the images that I created to replicate the soft focus images below. They aren't exactly the same as the weather wasn't great so didn't want to get the person in the pictures to sit on the floor in the puddles and mud. If I was to do the images again I would make sure it was better weather outside so I could make the images more accurate and relate more to the original image. To get this effect on the images I put cling film over the lens to make a 'soft focus' look on the images. When I put the cling film over the lens it was a bit less noticeable but was easy to recognize the effect but on the way out of college I lost my cling film so had to borrow someone else's as a last resort.

These are the images that I re-created.
