Layer masking; grey and white button, change background to black at the side and go over the sky with the brush. Add another layer mask and paint over the dark bits with the brush to make the colours come back. For landscapes.

Smart sharping; filter;sharpen;smart sharpen. Choose how much to sharpen. Levels, curves, vibrance and saturation.

Architecture stuff; transform using rulers; holding down ctrl.

Portrait work; using blending modes. Over exposed; multiply. Under exposed; screen. < copy layer, multiply/screen, opacity looking normal, layer masking.
